One of the two MWM Xchange Centers is located in Vigo, Spain. Since 2012, Caterpillar Energy Solutions has ensured the global supply of replacement components for the MWM TCG 2032 and Cat CG260 gas engine series from this location. From cylinder heads to short blocks, the various gas engine components are refurbished here.<\/p>\n

The replacement of components of gas engines, e.g. in the context of a general overhaul, is often the faster, more inexpensive, and eco-friendlier alternative to on-site maintenance. The provision of needed parts, e.g. by using a short block, minimizes plant downtimes. The take-back of old parts closes the usage cycle and contributes to the preservation of resources.<\/p>\n

The two conferences at the Xchange Center in October 2018 addressed Cat dealers and MWM distributors. Apart from specialized presentations by various speakers and a tour of the facilities, the program featured a boat tour. For the MWM conference, G\u00fcnter Steinmann, Head of Service Germany, delivered the opening speech. Uwe Sternstein, General Manager Service & Parts, spoke for the Cat conference.<\/p>\n

Xchange Program Delivers “High Quality Standards and Excellent Work”<\/h3>\n

The numerous intensive expert discussions helped the participants learn more about the individual needs and preferences of the Cat dealers and MWM distributors and provide them with comprehensive insight into the internal processes and workflows of the Xchange Center. “During the conference, we were able to cooperate with the two Xchange Center teams and gain insight into the options available for the Cat CG machine series”, says participant Javier Jim\u00e9nez Pradillo, Contract Performance Consultant at Finning UK & Ireland.<\/p>\n

The flood of positive feedback received from the participants after the conference demonstrates the success of the event. “I greatly benefited from the event at the Xchange Center”, says Javier Jim\u00e9nez Pradillo. “The conference highlighted the high quality standards and excellent work that is done here in the Xchange program. Caterpillar Energy Solutions has the experience needed to make sure that the customer receives a product capable of delivering high performance.”<\/p>\n
