Caterpillar Energy Solution Labeled One of the Best Employers and Again as

According to a survey conducted by “FOCUS-MONEY”, Caterpillar Energy Solutions is one of Germany’s top traditional companies in the engineering category, with an overall score of 2.64. The study shows which companies with a long-standing tradition have best adapted to the changed market, social, and environmental conditions and have achieved distinction in the market. According to the study, innovative drive is a key success factor for traditional companies.

With a total score of 2.89, a survey conducted by the German “DIE WELT” newspaper awarded Caterpillar Energy Solutions the above-average label “high employer image” in the category of regional businesses. The regional ranking of Germany’s best Baden-Württemberg-based employers comprises 832 businesses. The survey is based on regional and national evaluations of the image and attractiveness of German companies.

Sustainable Energy Concepts for Enterprises

2019 again saw the rollout of numerous corporate projects for the replacement of CHP plant engines with gas engines for distributed energy supply and an improved energy and environmental balance.

For the cogeneration power plant of WUN Pellets GmbH in Wunsiedel, Germany, which is connected to the pellet plant, the company installed three highly efficient MWM TCG 2032B V16 gas engines with an electrical output of 4.5 MW. The gas engines, which are fueled with climate-friendly natural gas, ensure the distributed energy supply with electrical and thermal energy. Additionally, they supply some 40,000 households in Upper Franconia with power. “Energie & Management” magazine designated the cogeneration power plant in Wunsiedel as “Cogeneration Power Plant of the Month” of March, highlighting its role in championing climate-friendly, distributed energy generation.

The modular power plants (MPP) stand for innovative, trend-setting distributed energy generation. The first local MPP set up in Chelyabinsk, one of the largest regions in the Ural region in Russia, by MWM distributor MKS Group of Companies went live in 2019. The modular power plant runs with four MWM TCG 2032B V16 gas engines in an output range of 4,500 kWel. The power plants installed in the area can thus deliver a total output of 18 MWel for the close-by mine.

Intermedia-globe Silver Award 2019 for Product Video

At the WorldMediaFestival in Hamburg, Germany, Caterpillar Energy Solutions again received an intermedia-globe Silver Award. This time, it was the MWM product video for the newly developed TCG 3020 gas engine that qualified for the award. The professional jury was impressed by the product film’s technically sophisticated, modern, digital-style 3D animations.
