Training courses for the maintenance and operation of gas engines, gensets and cogeneration systems

At the Caterpillar Energy Solutions Training Center, qualified trainers teach course participants the proper operation and maintenance of gas engines and CHP plants (cogeneration systems). In training courses at the Mannheim Training Center, or on-site at the customer’s plant, participants learn not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical handling of various genset models. Depending upon their prior knowledge, seminar participants can choose between sequential, progressive seminar sessions or individual condensed, topic-related seminars.

Freely elective training modules enable user-oriented training courses and offer optimized flexibility for course participants. The individually tailored range of training courses provide user knowledge for the proper operation of systems, routine service tasks, early detection and remedying of malfunctions, as well as independent handling of basic maintenance procedures – depending upon the operator’s level of qualification.

From theory to practice

All the courses follow a clearly-structured format – from the teaching of basic theory, right down to the actual application in practice. In small groups, the participants apply their theoretical knowledge in practical situations on the corresponding gas engines and simulation mock-ups. This methodology helps the participants to gain a substantive, in-depth understanding especially in complex technical areas.
